Even amid a global pandemic, the global fleet of superyachts continues to increase. Even the smallest boat on this list, Maryah at 410 feet, is bigger than any of the top 25 largest yachts combined.


With shipyards across the globe, new launches and refits are provided regularly. Ships from Lürssen, Dream Ship Victory, and Lloyd Werft make up this year's crop. The list of the world's most expensive superyachts is expected to get more crowded over the next few years.


1. Seven - David Beckham



David Beckham, the former Inter Milan footballer and current owner of a 28-meter Riva Argo 90, has been revealed as the boat's owner. In October 2021, Seven was named after Beckham's famous football shirt number when it was released.


Studio Officina Italiana Design handled the yacht's interior and exterior design, and Ferretti Engineering Department handled the yacht's naval architecture. The foredeck provides a large sunbathing area with a top speed of 30 knots and two MTU diesel engines.


2. Musashi – Larry Ellison



The list becomes increasingly lengthy, starting with the megayacht MUSASHI and its owner Larry Ellison. An American software firm entrepreneur and a yacht enthusiast, Ellison is one of the wealthiest persons in the world.


Feadship launched Musashi, a stunning megayacht, in 2011. De Voogt Naval Architects developed this great 88-meter warship. It was Sinot Yacht Design's job to decorate Musashi's interior. As a Samurai, her name translates to "warrior" in Japanese.


3. Maryah - Neorion



The Szczecin shipyard in Poland launched this former Russian research vessel. In 2010, the Elefsis yard in Greece received a five-year refurbishment. As an entirely custom-built superyacht, the stuffy research vessel returned in 2014. It was designed by the UK-based H2 Yacht Design, which included all the comforts that one would expect in a yacht of this size.


Pool, spa, modern interior design (including custom furniture, trademark woodwork, and custom features like fixtures and lighting) and ample interior space transformed the ugly duckling into a swan. Maryah can travel at a top speed of 18 knots and accommodates up to 54 passengers thanks to her dual Azipod propulsion systems.


4. Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 - Conor McGregor



It has been announced that UFC fighter Conor McGregor has a newly finished Tecnomar For Lamborghini 63 yacht. Superyachts and supercars are two different things, but the 19.2-metre yacht aims to combine the two.


When it comes to McGregor's yacht, it has gold hull paint and the same materials as a Lamborghini. Inspired by Lamborghini's Siàn FKP 37 model, Tecnomar For Lamborghini has an aerodynamic profile and a distinctive "carbon skin".


5. Symphony – Bernard Arnault



SYMPHONY, a 101-meter mega yacht, belongs to Bernard Arnault. In the world of luxury goods, Arnault is a well-known figure. He has served as the Chairman and CEO of LVMH and the Chairman of Christian Dior S.A for a long time.


Feadship built Symphony in 2015, and it has an impressive pedigree. Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects designed the ship's exterior, while Tim Heywood designed the ship's interior.


6. Octopus - Lürssen



The eight-deck Octopus, designed by Lürssen for Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, is the largest exploration boat in the world. While he intended Octopus to be able to dock at the ends of the earth for exploration, Allen maintained all of the wealthy characteristics of a superyacht.


An interior dock that runs through the hull of the Lürssen and can carry two submersibles was added to the ship after it was delivered in 2003. When cruising, you can enjoy fantastic views from the glass-bottomed observation lounge.


The yacht's onboard dive centre and hyperbaric chamber have assisted in numerous exploratory finds. While Espen ino created the exterior, Jonathan Quinn Barnett created the interior, which features a full-sized basketball court on the aft deck. The yacht can attain a top speed of 20 knots after a 2019 overhaul.


7. Viva a Vida - Tom Brady



After securing a $50 contract to supply with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NFL great Tom Brady will take delivery of a 16-meter custom cruiser from Dutch maker Wajer near the end of 2020. After recently announcing that he had ordered a larger model, the Wajer 77, the quarterback is a big fan of the Wajer boats.


Three 435hp Volvo Penta engines power the baby blue hull of the Wajer 55S named Viva a Vida, ensuring a thrilling ride above 40 knots. Stowage for SeaBobs and other toys is hidden beneath the aft stairway of a walkaround centre console, allowing passengers to make the most of the available deck space.


The Wajer 55S has a sleeping capacity of four onboard. Additionally, the boat has push-button fenders and a swim platform that extends. Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design in the Netherlands designed the 55S, a more powerful version of the Wajer 55.


8. Venus – Steve Jobs's Family



Feadship created the VENUS motor yacht for Apple Inc. founder Steve Jobs. Philippe Starck, a bespoke yacht designer, and Steve Jobs collaborated to create this beautiful 78-meter vessel. Named for the Roman deity, this is a custom-built aluminium boat. Steve Job's family currently owns Venus.


9. Al Mirqab - Kusch Yachts



Al Mirqab was built in Germany's Peters Werft shipyard for Qatar's previous prime minister and launched in 2008 under the supervision of Kusch Yachts. Navy-blue hull with white superstructure makes up the Tim Heywood design's outward appearance. With a top speed of 21 knots, the yacht's diesel-electric propulsion system utilises an azimuth pod drive.


With graphics depicting Arabic-inspired patterns on the marble floors of huge social rooms, it earned multiple honours for its interior design by Andrew Winch. Floating staircases encased in custom-made glass panels serve as the yacht's highlight. There are 36 staterooms on board Al Mirqab, and 45 crew members can be accommodated there.


10. Seven Seas – Steve Spielberg



Oceanco's superyacht SEVEN SEAS is a shining example of the company's craftsmanship. Steven Spielberg, the famed director of Hollywood, owns her. The yacht was designed by the Italian firm Nuvolari Lenard. Seven Seas, an 86-meter-long yacht, has a lot of interior living space.


The infinity public pool on the aft deck, which you can convert into a helipad or a social area, is her most notable feature. Steven Spielberg's luxurious yacht is a dream vacation for many people.


11. Eclipse – Roman Abramovich



Roman Abramovich, the Russian billionaire businessman, investor, and owner of Chelsea Football Club, owns the second-largest superyacht in the world. As the world's largest superyachts, the ECLIPSE was launched in 2009 for $1.25 billion.


However, AZZAM, a 180-meter LOA behemoth, was the largest yacht in the world in 2013. Terence Disdale designed the exterior of the Eclipse. The estimated worth of Eclipse is $400 million. Also on board, Eclipse includes an anti-paparazzi "photo-protection" technology and all of her other luxurious amenities.


12. Amphitrite – JK Rowling



JK Rowling, the creator of the Harry Potter series, purchased the stunning 47.6-meter superyacht AMPHITRITE in 2016. (ex. Vajoliroja). One of the world's most famous people, Johnny Depp, once owned the sailboat.

In Anatolia, Turkey, Turquoise Yachts (previously Proteksan Turquoise) built Amphitrite, designed by Taka Yachts. Redman Whiteley Dixon was responsible for the spectacular interior design of Amphitrite. JK Rowling reportedly re-listed the yacht for sale for €17,800,000.


13. Main – Giorgio Armani



Heiress to the Armani fashion empire, Giorgio Armani owns the imposing motor yacht MAIN. To meet all of Giorgio Armani's needs, Codecasa created his 65-meter-long luxury yacht to his specifications.


The steel and aluminium superstructure of the Main's hull is painted a striking dark green. Ortelli Architetti was entrusted with creating the interior styling by Armani. Main, a 65-meter-long yacht has plenty of room for 14 passengers to spread out and relax.


14. Dubai – Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum



Massive yacht UAE is home to DUBAI, currently the third-largest superyacht. Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Emirate of Dubai's ruler, is neither a star nor an actor. There's room for 115 passengers and 88 crew members on the 163-meter-long Dubai.


Andrew Winch designed Dubai, which Emirati shipyard Platinum Yachts produced. A helicopter pad, swimming pool, a cinema, and a massive gym are just some of the luxurious facilities on this superyacht.


15. Privacy – Tiger Woods



Tiger Woods' superyacht's name is expected to be well-known to the golfing elite and countless Tiger Woods admirers. If you were one of the world's most famous guys, you'd like some privacy. Tiger Woods purchased the $20 million motor yacht PRIVACY in 2004.


Christensen Shipyards designed and built her, with Elin Nordegren, his then-wife, handling the interior styling. Privacy has a range of 4,000 nautical miles and a top speed of 12 knots. The boat is 47.24 metres long and has a total floor area of 6,500 square metres.


16. Great White - Rafael Nadal



Aces in the game of tennis Sunreef 80 Power, delivered in June 2020, is Rafael Nadal's latest luxury superyacht. Rafael Nadal decided to order the catamaran after sailing on several Sunreef catamarans and meeting the yard's founder and president Francis Lapp during the 2018 Cannes Yachting Festival.


However, this is not his first time on a yacht. When Rafael Nadal bought Beethoven a Monte Carlo Yacht in 2016, he was the proud owner of the moniker. In an interview with Boat International, Nadal discussed his passion for yachting and his intention to purchase a vessel of his own "With my yacht.


I can get away from the exhausting stress of everyday life. Superyachts are one of my greatest loves. IT'S AN UNCOMMON OCCURRENCE when I see a superyacht from a distance and don't recognise it. They're all familiar faces to me!"


17. Vendetta - Billy Joel



Billy Joel has owned numerous yachts. The "Piano Man" is such a yacht lover that he has even designed yachts for other celebrities. The Vendetta, designed by Doug Zurn, is a genuine recreation of the famous gentleman's commuter launches popularised in the 1920s for their rapid speed to go down the Long Island Sound and into Manhattan.


Billy Joel told BOAT International that he had utilised the yacht to travel from Long Island to New York City to participate in a concert, which is exactly what the vessels were designed for. For a time, Billy Joel owned a fleet of five yachts, including a 29-meter Inace explorer yacht he renamed Audacious (renamed Miss Sarah J). Vendetta, which recently underwent a major renovation, is now advertised for sale by Fraser.


18. Infinity - Tony Parker



According to AvA Yachts' December 2018 announcement, the 35-meter Kando 110 series' second hull had been sold to NBA player Tony Parker, and the yacht had been delivered two years later. Infinity, a steel and aluminium full-distance yacht with a bulbous bow, was designed in-house.


With six guest cabins and staff quarters for 12, the 340GT yacht can seat 12 guests in total, including a separate double berth for the skipper. For their new four-decked boat, the basketball star and his wife are claimed to have put the AvA yard through a rigorous vetting process before deciding on the company to build it.


19. Freedom - Roberto Cavalli



Until it was delivered in 2018, much secrecy surrounds the development of fashion designer Roberto Cavalli's boat. The 27-meter Freedom was designed by Tommaso Spadolini in association with her owner and built by the Italian shipyard Cerri Cantieri Navali.


According to Cavalli, Batman's heroic batmobile's style inspired the yacht's design. The yacht's distinctive appearance is characterised by its angular lines, jet black exterior, and tinted windows. The bedrooms and saloons of the ship are decked out in Cavalli's characteristic animal-print decor. Six passengers and three staff members can comfortably dine together in Freedom's two dining rooms.


20. Eos - Diane von Furstenburg



Diane von Furstenberg, purchased the Lürssen-built 93-meter yacht Eos in 2009. Designed by Bill Langan and Francois Catroux, the schooner's external and interior spaces can accommodate 16 guests and 21 crew members.


When Diller and von Furstenburg are not hosting an all-star party on their boat, Bravo personality Andy Cohen is the latest celebrity to be sighted on board.


21. Astoria - David Gilmour



Even while the 27-meter Astoria is far less flashy than some of the world's most extravagant superyachts, it has seen its fair share of raucous antics. On the houseboat deck owned by Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour is a 90-piece orchestra created in 1911 for Fred Karno.


Astoria was purchased by Gilmour in 1986 and transformed into a recording studio, replete with three cabins, a kitchen, a shower, and a spacious main saloon. In addition to Gilmour's solo albums, Pink Floyd recorded parts of their last three studio albums on board the boat, permanently anchored in Hampton, Greater London.
