Fights of Paparazzi and Celebs

Celebrity comes at a price, and it's something that many have had to deal with. When you spend your life in the public eye, you have to make a lot of compromises because you can't do what you want without someone seeing it. In addition to tabloid stories about their conduct, they are always surrounded by photographers who document their every move.

From ordinary strolls or trips to the shop to compromising poses or making out with someone they shouldn't have, celebrities have been captured doing all sorts of activities throughout the years. Understandably, celebrities occasionally lose their temper when being stalked by photographers.

Having your every move scrutinized and filmed by the paparazzi can't be fun, and it's bound to grow annoying, but most celebrities have learned how to deal with the paparazzi gracefully. Some of them, on the other hand, can hurt. In the following list, you'll find a few celebrities that have been excessively aggressive with the paparazzi, which has resulted in lawsuits, headlines, and PR catastrophes.

Quentin Tarantino

Tarantino isn't known for getting into fights in real life, but he couldn't resist letting one of the paparazzi have it. An intrusive paparazzo flashed and filmed the filmmaker of "Kill Bill," who was trying to relax with a cup of Starbucks coffee. The director's immediate instinct was to pursue the cowardly individual, but Tarantino displays incredible patience and restraint when the paparazzo approaches again, daring him to hit him. His lawyer didn't need to file that one.

Mike Tyson

A battle with Iron Mike? Who thought this would be a good idea? Did you have a chance to see him at his peak? Surely you haven't heard the tales. A paparazzi photographer started pestering the champion while trying to get on a plane at LAX in 2009.

Trying to avoid a conflict, Tyson strolled away to find some quiet. After two TSA employees escorted him to a secluded location, he took matters into his own hands when the paparazzi wouldn't go away. Tyson approached the videographer as the TSA agents screamed at him to halt. He retreated into a state of awe and awelessness due to his fear.

Justin Bieber

As many encounters with photographers as Justin Bieber has had, picking a favorite is impossible. As much as we'd like to think he tossed his shoe at one of the paparazzi blocking his car in 2012, the struggle with a cameraman in London in 2013 is the incident that made our list.

A nasty paparazzo insults and verbally abuses Bieber as he tries to grab a ride. Bieber, overcome by emotion, tries to respond by fighting his bodyguards. The entire sequence reminds us that Justin is still a kid despite his enormous celebrity and success.

Lara Bingle and Sam Worthington

Remember when you were a kid, and you and your siblings got into a fight, and you all ran to your mom or dad and told entirely different tales about what happened? When it comes to paparazzi vs. celebrities, the same holds.

Lara Bingle and Sam Worthington beat up new York City photojournalist Sheng Li. After the encounter, Worthington and Bingle insisted that Li had kicked Bingle, but the video appears to show otherwise. While Worthington is well-known in China, Li is said to have only been interested in photographing the Australian model.

Jamiroquai

The inversion of celebrity and paparazzi roles in this item may be the most startling list. Normally, the paparazzi harass celebrities. However, in this case, our star is the one being harassed. There's a five-minute video of Jamiroquai frontman Jason Cheetham alias Jay Kay verbally abusing a paparazzo, who stands there and takes it for quite some time. Eventually, though, he succumbs to the pressure and unleashes a powerful headbutt. The musician's face is covered in blood, and he undoubtedly regrets his choice of words instantly.

Hugh Grant

While he's most known for his appearances in rom-coms, Hugh Grant is no slouch for being abrasive in real life. In 2009, he accidentally kicked a paparazzi in the crotch. However, the incident that earned him a spot on our list occurred in April of that year.

Grant couldn't get away from a man who kept snapping away with his camera as he went about his business. Retribution: Grant is believed to have kicked and punched the photographers in retaliation for the paparazzi's actions. This man from "Love Actually" must be a tough act to follow.

Chris Martin

If you've ever had a bad day and fantasized about going on a rampage, it's fair to say that you're not alone. There are many ways to express one's anger today, but Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin had to resort to violence back in 2003.

Martin snapped when an Australian paparazzi wouldn't leave him alone. Martin shattered his car window and punctured his tires while the cameraman took a break to give the paparazzo a taste of his own medicine. No, it wasn't a match made in heaven, but you can be sure it felt that way.

Kanye West

No matter what time of year it is, what's going on in the music industry, or what's going on globally, Kanye West is the only man making headlines these days. However, he wasn't always this way. When Kanye West fought with photographers in 2008, it was a major issue since he hadn't dominated the media as much in the mid-2000s.

Photographers followed Kanye West as he tried to exit the American Airlines terminal at Los Angeles International Airport. Retaliating against the photographer, his security destroyed their equipment before doing the same to the TMZ reporter. Not before West rushed the media, the cops had booked the two.

Britney Spears

Britney's 2007 altercation with photographers was a sign that the pop queen had reached her breaking point like so many others on this list. The "Baby One More Time" singer blew up at a gas station right in the middle of her public breakdown, which included shaving her head.

The paparazzi refused to provide Spears privacy after she had pleaded for it calmly and respectfully. The paparazzi's SUV was struck repeatedly by her umbrella as she emerged from her car. It didn't help that we recorded this encounter on tape since she was already beaten by her inability to avoid the public glare.

Björk

Even though the Icelandic singer is no longer at the top of the music charts, there was a time when she was. Despite her several Grammy nominations, we have a strange hunch that he will remember this diva for the savage attack she launched on a paparazzi in 1996.

After arriving in Bangkok, the artist went from zero to 100 seconds, savagely punching down a female journalist in a horrible incident. While the press claimed the incident was unprovoked, the singer accused reporters of invading her son's privacy. As far as paparazzi attacks go, it's hard to argue with this one.

Lily Allen

When it comes to paparazzi, Lily Allen isn't a fan. According to The Independent, she has described herself as feeling like a "caged animal." A harassment order has been issued against paparazzi loitering outside of Allen's home since she has difficulty adjusting to fame's darker side.

On the other hand, Allen is agitated and outraged when the paparazzi get to be too much for her. In one particularly memorable incident, she allegedly became enraged after an oncoming motorist rammed into the rear of her vehicle, leading to an altercation.

Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert's fight with a photographer on Miami Beach in 2010 made the news. When the paparazzi surrounded him, he was said to be having a good time with buddies. A photographer alleged in a police report that the musician tried to take his backpack and camera from him after he became frustrated with being continually monitored.

Lambert was rumored to have thrown a punch at a New York Daily News photographer, but that story was quickly debunked by Lambert himself, who rushed to Twitter to explain his behavior. "He said," I replied, "What's the deal with the battery? Nope. Although they exchanged no blows and nobody was on the ground, I tried to snag a camera and was unsuccessful. It was completely unintentional. "If shame is a crime, I'm guilty of being embarrassed."

Lamar Odom

Lamar Odom, married to Khloe Kardashian, refused to answer questions regarding suspected infidelity. He told a photographer, "I would never cheat on my wife since I wear my wedding band."

When the photographer continued to ask Odom the same questions, the basketball player went into a frenzy. He reportedly destroyed Stefan Saad's equipment. Later, Saad filed a police report, revealing that Odom had been enraged when he was asked about Kardashian. More than $500,000 in damages were sought from the LAPD in a lawsuit filed by the man injured in a car accident.

Kendall Jenner

When Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid were leaving a Paris nightclub in 2016, a Parisian photographer refused to leave them alone, so Kendall allegedly punched the photographer, attempting to take a picture of them.

Jenner and Hadid appeared to be yelling at photographers in a snapshot. According to the New York Daily News, Jenner seems to be being dragged away from the camera by her security. Moreover, Us Weekly claims that Jenner's manager and bodyguard prevented the incident from getting out of hand and reportedly pushed the photographer away from the models once he got too near.

We don't know for sure if Jenner's fist truly hit a photographer's face or if they were engaged in a verbal sparring match. There's no doubt about it: she was enraged!

Alec Baldwin

It's possible that Alec Baldwin doesn't get enough criticism for his acts because he's so popular for his comedy parts. For years, Baldwin and the paparazzi had fought, with the most notorious incident being in 2013, when Baldwin assaulted a photographer outside his New York City apartment building. The same year he was involved in an altercation with a photographer, in which they observed both men shoving each other, but they decided not to seek charges.

In 2013, while photographing his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, Baldwin got into an altercation with a photographer, which sparked more outrage. As Alec screamed at the photographer, telling him he was a "piece of trash" and that he should "keep away" from his wife, the photographer jumped into his face.

Jude Law

Does it ever make good sense to hit a person? Even though everyone's theories differ, these events led to reports that Jude Law swung his arm at a photographer. A female photographer approached the actor in London in 2009 as he was leaving a dinner party given by director Christopher Nolan and began snapping pictures of him.

According to Daily Mail, he was said to have lost his cool, and the cameraman reported that the incident on her was "unprovoked," according to Daily Mail. Moreover, she maintains that Law struck her "full on the face" and that his actions were purposeful.

According to Metro, a Law representative said that the incident was an "accident." "And," she concluded, "On his way out of a restaurant, Jude accidentally hit someone standing next to him because he was dazzled by the camera flashes. He went after saying his sorry. Often, images of this nature might be deceptive."

Sam Worthington

Sam Worthington made news for allegedly assaulting New York City photojournalist Sheng Li earlier this year. The photographer reportedly tripped Lara Bingle, Worthington's model wife.

According to Daily Mail, Worthington was heard screaming at the photographer and saying he had "kicked" his wife. There were several charges filed against Worthington and Li due to the altercation. Worthington was charged with assault, and Li was charged with assault and harassment.

Although Worthington's legal battle ended up costing him $5.3 million in civil charges, the Sydney Morning Herald reported in 2015 that he had agreed to an out-of-court settlement with Li, where he gave her an unknown sum.
