22 Celebrities Lost It on the Paparazzi

To avoid the paparazzi, celebrities have tried everything from throwing cake at them to wearing brown paper bags over their heads, as we can see why. As much as we enjoy seeing new photos of our favorite celebrities, we're not fans of photographers taking pictures of them if they aren't comfortable with it. Celebs have been known to lash out at the paparazzi when they are tired of being followed by cameras all day.

In the case of Zendaya, for instance. In Los Angeles recently, the Shake It Up actress was spotted picking up some paint, and she wasn't happy about it. When she got back to her apartment, the Disney star took to Instagram to vent about the paparazzi.

Having all the money, events, attention, and so on that comes with being a celebrity is always a dream come true. Aside from this minor issue, the game appears to be a lot of fun! And the paparazzi are responsible for that. They set up camp outside the homes of celebrities, follow them around in stores and restaurants, and get right up close and personal while yelling obscenities at them. Thanks a mil.

"If it's raining and you don't have an umbrella, just enjoy the rain," according to an old adage. The same could be said for some of the celebrities on this list who have run into the ever-present paparazzi.

We all know that celebrities have a better life than most of us could ever imagine. Although being followed by paparazzi is infuriating, it is understandable that celebrities have been known to lose their cool and lash out at photographers. From this list, however, you can clearly see that some celebrities use humor to deal with the constant media attention they receive. You'll be surprised to learn that even serious actors like Ryan Gosling and Dustin Hoffman, as well as Benedict Cumberbatch and Leonardo Di Caprio, have a sense of humor.

Harry Styles

During a photoshoot in London in March 2013, Justin got into a physical altercation with a group of photographers. To get to his car, the singer is accused of pushing someone out of the way.

"Go back to America, you scumbag. The photographer yelled at him after getting into the car, "F-ing little moron."

Unfortunately for the photographers, Justin was not pleased with their remarks and slammed the door on them, threatening to "f–king beat the f–k out of you."

"Sometimes when people are shoving cameras in your face all day and yelling the worst things possible at you... well, I'm human," he wrote on Twitter afterward.

Miley Cyrus

Miley has had her fair share of bad luck when dealing with the media. In 2011, the singer slammed them for getting too close to her mother and called them liars.

"You've just hit my mother with your camera," I exclaimed. Make sure you don't repeat that. Please don't hurt my mother. Her words were emphatic: "Don't you ever consider it."

On Twitter, she even referred to them as "pigs."

Cara Delevingne

Cara didn't like the photographers who surrounded her when she stepped off the plane at Heathrow Airport in London. She deliberately walked right into them as well as shoved some of them.

On Twitter, she wrote, "The paparazzi only get worse!... I'm fed up with them." Not that I have anything against my hometown, but I do find it sad that I am unable to call it my home because of this. I WILL NEVER BE SILENT because I refuse to stand idly by and watch these men treat people as if they had no feelings."

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer isn't afraid to express her disdain for paparazzi photographers. Even though she does not have a Twitter account, she makes it a point to talk about it during interviews.

'If I were a typical 23-year-old girl and called the police to report strange men camped out on my lawn and stalking me to Starbucks, they'd act immediately,' she once told Vogue. "However, since I'm a well-known person, there's nothing we can do about it." It's absurd... This does not sit well with me. It's that simple. Even though I've been in this for only a short time, I'm not yet convinced that this is my new normal. There's no way I'm letting it go."

Kendall Jenner

Kendall has spent her entire life in front of the camera, but she has a severe dislike for the paparazzi. "There's nothing that irritates me more than when people take pics of me/my family/or anyone in this industry and does not ask," she once tweeted.

As if I were some artifact in a museum, please don't sit there taking pictures of me like a statue. She continued, "I can see you making me uneasy." It's rude not to ask. It would be a disappointment to you, too."

Taylor Swift

The "pop princess" has a history of conflict with these people. It's hard to forget when she used a green umbrella to attack one of the photographers. This time, she was caught on camera spilling her drink on a photographer. Since her net worth is expected to be $70 million in 2021, she's probably not a fan of paparazzi and perhaps cash loans, too.

Leonardo DiCaprio

To avoid the paparazzi, the Academy Award-winning actor hid his flawless face from insurance agents. Using his hat as a camouflage, Bright Side even posted two photos of himself donning a black umbrella. Unfortunately, despite his best efforts, we were able to identify him.

Kanye West

Kanye West, a multi-billionaire musician, is pictured with his wife and two sisters. When he heard the shutter go off, his expression changed to displeasure. Is this familiar to you? Yes, we look like when we get our electricity bill.

Mark Wahlberg

Mark Wahlberg also enlisted the help of his friends and mimicked what paparazzi do all the time — taking pictures. A group of photographers were in the vicinity when he called his friends, so they all took out their phones and pointed them at them. That's taking things to a whole new level of innovation!

Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Even as he ate, Paparazzi snapped pictures of the Sin City star's stunning features. However, judging by the expression on his face, Joseph had lost his appetite upon seeing the photographers. Hopefully, the photographer could avoid taking out a loan because of that photo.

Eva Mendes

Eva Mendes' hair served as the equivalent of Leonardo DeCaprio's umbrella, preventing photographs of her stunning face. Determine if she was successful in concealing it. However, she should be commended for her efforts.

Ricky Martin

In front of the camera, the Livin' la Vida Loca singers greeted him with an almost 90-degree salute as he prepared to get into his car.

Karlie Kloss

She struck a pose to hide former Victoria's Secret model Karlie Kloss when she realized the paparazzi were photographing her. However, the girl's photos were stunning.

Dustin Hoffmann

An old-school actor and filmmaker had an adorable way of dealing with the paparazzi. On the Bright Side, he can be seen hiding in what appears to be a street light. He deserves credit for trying, but we don't think the streetlight helped hide him.

Daniel Radcliffe

His on-screen wizardry was impressive, but Daniel Radcliffe's real-world magic is no match for the paparazzi. We're sure the British actor wishes he could wave his wand and make the nosy photographers go away, given his level of fame.

Katy Perry

Katy wore a full-on Adidas kit for her trip to Argentina, which you won't see here. Big sports brand Adidas is all over this model, from her cap to her shoes. It's hard to argue with the value of this outfit.

Kate Middleton

Since becoming a member of the Royal Family, Kate Middleton has received a fair amount of attention from the media. The Duchess of Cambridge and her husband were spotted sunbathing on a French terrace. One month after Prince Harry's naked photos from a Las Vegas hotel room party leaked, the royal family would not let the paparazzi loose without a fight. According to a court order, the French magazine Closer must turn over all digital copies of the Duchess of Cambridge in Provence to the authorities or face a hefty fine. Since the British royal family blamed Princess Diana's car crash on the paparazzi's insatiable appetite for photos, the paparazzi issue has never been minimized. The mother of Prince William and Prince Harry was Princess Diana. Paparazzi have learned their lesson, and hopefully, this is the last time we hear of royal celebrities having to deal with paparazzi.

Tom Cruise

This isn't the first time Tom Cruise has found himself at odds with the paparazzi while driving. Mission Impossible star and his daughter Suri attempted to evade the paparazzi in Manhattan. The reminiscence of a recent accident involving his wife's car and a garbage truck in Manhattan prompted the incident. It was fortunate that no one was seriously injured, and even their Mercedes sustained minor damage. Just 10 days after Tom and Katie finalized their divorce, paparazzi were swarming around them.

Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin had a special relationship with the paparazzi in the days leading up to his wedding to Hilaria Thomas. Despite the paparazzi's objections, the celebrity has his method of dealing with them, and it may be one of the few effective methods. The media focused on Alec in the weeks leading up to his wedding because of his alleged abuse of two photographers. Baldwin assaulted a photographer while getting their marriage license in Manhattan. It was all in vain for Marcus Santos, the photographer, because the District Attorney's office recently confirmed that no charges had been brought against him. Alec had earlier threatened to yell at another photographer who was blocking the entrance to his apartment building to leave the neighborhood the day before the wedding to get him to leave. In terms of celebrity-paparazzo clashes, Alec is our go-to.

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston is no stranger to the paparazzi's prying eyes. She won a $550,000 lawsuit against two British publications in 2003 over paparazzi photos of her sunbathing topless in her backyard. The case was settled out of court, and she received an apology for violating her right to privacy in addition to the large settlement. Since she's been in the spotlight for so long, Aniston is well-versed in the art of keeping her private life hidden from prying eyes. In celebrity-paparazzo clashes, Jennifer remains one of the few celebrities who has come out on top.

Britney Spears

The paparazzi are to blame for Britney Spears' well-documented life. Since the beginning of her professional life, these are the people she has always had by her side. When Britney's life took a turn for the worse, photographers were all over to document it for the world to see. It's all there, from photos of her drastically changing her hairstyle and going bald to her eyebrow-raising clothing choices. While Britney was skipping hearings for her child custody battle with Kevin Federline, the paparazzi were also capturing footage of her attacking a photographer's car with her infamous green umbrella.

Jodie Foster

Jodie Foster is rarely mentioned in our paparazzi vs. celebrities stories. On the other hand, she recently came under scrutiny for a rare off-screen performance involving a teenage photographer. Assaulting a photographer who had photographed her during her private family time was a charge leveled against her in 2010. Although Jodie was shopping in Los Angeles with her sons at the time of the incident, it is reported that she did not take the intrusion of her privacy lying down and reportedly pushed and jabbed the young paparazzi. Even though the teen had filed a police report, they brought no charges.
